Max Crawford

Max is a proud, lifelong Texan, where he has been fascinated (and even terrified at one point!) of thunderstorms his whole life. He eventually channeled that fear into a passion and has been talking about the weather and great outdoors to anyone who would listen ever since. A relative of the famed Rudders from his mother's side, Max followed in his older brother and mentor's footsteps and attended Texas A&M University to study meteorology.

While at A&M, (aside from studies, of course) Max put most of his energy into being involved, and looks back fondly on memories of Fish Camp and Young Life, where he served as a Chairperson and volunteer leader respectively. It was here where he really grew his love for the Brazos Valley.

After interning under Shel Winkley at KBTX, Max ventured to West Texas and broadcasted mornings at KWES-TV, learning and working under the legendary Tom Tefertiller. He's called the Brazos Valley and Aggieland home again since 2015, and is actively involved in local organizations including the United Way of the Brazos Valley.

In his spare time, Max is a pro couch potato and amateur runner. He loves spending time with his wife, kids, and dog Charlie. If you spot him around the Brazos Valley, give him a Howdy and tell him your story!
