Olivea Herzberg

Olivea Herzberg is a Texas native who was born in Spring and spent part of her childhood in Naperville, Illinois. Her curiosity about people's lives and a competitive drive led her to pursue journalism.

She graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Sports Journalism in May 2023.

From May 2023 to May 2025, Olivea worked at KTEN in Denison, Texas as a reporter, anchor and producer. She covered a wide range of stories — from economic growth and breaking news to severe weather — and loved connecting with viewers and communities through her reporting.

One of her favorite projects was the monthly "Texoma Heroes" segment, where she helped honor local veterans with flag ceremonies and public recognition for their service.

Now based in Waco, Olivea is excited to call Central Texas home and serve as morning reporter. She welcomes story ideas and community tips; reach her at olivea.herzberg@kwtx.com.
